And the DoF can be very thin - even on an APS sensor:
A minute ago, when I was walking through our garden with the Cron 50 mounted on the X-T1, I saw some bees buzzing around the flowers of our cherryplum tree.
This is what came out, just with that manual focus standard lens on the Fuji - without a close-up lens:
(In this one the bee flew away a little too fast.  )
I am pretty astouned about what was possible with just that combo.

First because it was perfect on the 5D, it's a bit too big for the X-T1 for my taste at least.
And since my 5D is gone, I haven't used it really.
Second it helps me to pay for the X-T1 advance payment.
You know, I normally only buy new things with money I got from selling older items.
This time I first have bought the new cam and now I need to sell other things.
This is my way to control GAS.
