POLARIS 55-300mm 4.5 VS Tair-3S 300 4.5

Hi,

I have a chance of buying one of these two and i was wondering which was better. I know the Tair has almost no chromatic aberration, but ive seen nice results from the Polaris aswell.

The Polaris would set me back 60$, the Tair 133$

also since i have the cash for a Tamron 70-300 USD i was wondering if the bokeh would be that much better from a 4.5 lens.

I had both lenses, Tair ...

Tair is superb vs big hefty zoom. If you get bored you can sell Tair, nobody buy Polaris with little experience.

I'm not an expert of tele lenses, since I usually don't use them much, nor I know the polaris.
But I have the Tair and, for my taste, it is miles ahead of any of the zooms I've tried - even quite modern ones.
I'm almost sure you won't get anything better for its price. On the other hand, a 55-300 zoom is (obviously) much more flexible than a 300mm prime, so, if you think you need a zoom, probably the tair won't be the best choice.
Anyway, I think you should buy one (and with a bit of luck and patience you can probably find one for even less)

that zoom is 1.5-2 kg nice 55m or 100 lens LOL

I agree with Tair miles a head before any zoom and frankly good as than most well know 300mm prime or even sharper wide open.
