Resolution question

I'm afraid that I haven't yet learned how to decipher lens data.
Can anyone tell me how good the following data on a particular lens might be? Does it matter to your judgement what the focal length of the lens is?

Does data like this exist out there for any makes of lenses?

MTF AXIS RESOLUTION ( lp/mm – contrast) 90-.20
MTF EDGE RESOLUTION ( lp/mm – contrast) 80-.20
LIMITING RESOLUTION ( lp/mm – contrast) 110 lp/mm

This is for an m42 lens, so the data is probably assuming a 35mm frame.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Looking at some of the old Modern Photography lens tests, I see that they have "Minimum Resolution Standards" (see below):

I'm also seeing a Pentax-A 28mm f2.8 with the following figures:

Still not sure how this relates to "MTF" and "limiting" resolutions, however.

you can compare values from the same source
but those number are not absolute
they are dependent of the test procedure
old test captured a target on film then counted lines

90lpm center - 80lpm is a very good lens
the best lenses reach 320lpm on slr
