Here is a shot on my $12.00 Vivitar 300mm M42 Tokina made lens shot on my Canon. I did cheat a little, I leaned against a tree. No photoshop correction. Not bad for $12. Lens looks brand new, probably 30+ years old!

Curious -- what's the maximum aperture, and what aperture was used?

Well, I'd say that your "bargain lens" really commended itself well. In particular, it handled that lighting without any obvious flaring.

Is that the classy looking T4 mount one, metal ribbed focus, tripod mount?
