Hi all,
I have a kind of old nex-f3 camera that has no built in viewfinder. Even though I have purchases the extarnal one, unfortunately I can not use it when I am using flash.
I was wondering though if some has ever tried something like tha

This one is held on by rubber bands, mine used magnets meaning I kept knocking the thing off if I bumped my cheek against it. Very ungainly apparatus and not practical for anything. I can see its use in a studio setting.
I use mine as a neg viewer now.
The problem with the NEX 3 & 5 was that everything was attached to the one socket.
The great thing with the A6000 is that it has built in flash, built in viewfinder and built in hot shoe. fabby! _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

This one won't fall off in a hurry! Still ungainly though.
Alex, you wont have this problem with the Minolta X-700 and flash.
have you developed that film yet? _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

Hi,
comments:
what ungainly means?
I am looking for upgrading my camera soon or after and a 6000 looks okayish but I still think lacks large number of buttons... I am always thinking of the transition to a full camera body too but I am not sure when that would be the right time....
Regarding my minolta x-700 this is the camera I love and I use the most. I have shot over 30 rolls of films the last 4 months and I keep reading about theory about pushing pulling and meater (that I still I am not sure how to use... I guess a post will follow)
I have already 10 color films developed and I have bough a scanner to scan those. Unfortunately the scanner did not have the extra accessory for scanning negatives which I ordered separately. I am waiting for it 1 month now...
I guess thinks would start rolling out soon and until Christmas I would have most of the film rolls developed.

Hi ungainly = awkward, ugly, over the top etc but for me I can only say, it works lol, without the option of a dedicated viewfinder it makes almost impossible manual focusing relatively easy and can be used on most cameras. |

Hey Alex, now you know what ungainly means. The A6000 has the right number of buttons for me. What buttons do you feel it is lacking?
I like full control and the PSAM dial on top is far better than the way its done on the NEX. A button next to the shutter release can be set to do the focus magnify of you want.
The camera is different to the NEX 3&5's but better built, comfortable in the and and a joy to use. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |
