trying to look for what it is called. it is the small 2 pointed silvery metal thing that looks like a gun sight.

anyone knows it use? bought my first tokina ai mount and was just looking at it then wondered what is its purpose?

It's the aperture coupling prong for non-Ai Nikon bodies such as the F, F2 and most of the Nikkormats.

It's called also "prong" or "kanime (in japanese, means crab's eyes)".
