received my latest buy today, a Telemegor 180mm. It was VERY dirty which I thought was a pity, so I had a go and cleaned it:

It looks nice !

But I think sharper pictures could render it nicer (maybe a resizing problem ?) Wink

What quality can I expect from this lens? I found a zebra-version for sale for 12,50 euro ex P&P, but I rather save it for a different lens is it is "only average".

Aren't these old lenses gorgeous? Very Happy Even is a lens is not a stellar peformer, I like them just because of the way they look!

Congratulations!

it is beautiful, and I am happy that I got it with the original leather front cap and the original case.
it's performance I'll check later once I have my Pentax dSLR - and the reason why I have not been posting lately is because I don't have that camera yet, but in about a month I shall have it and post some sample shots taken with this and my other MF lenses.

Wow! I like that image of the lens with its leather case. What a BEAUTY!

Is it an M42 mount lens? If so, you'll love the way the M42 fits so nicely on the Pentax DSLRs. I use the Pentax brand adapter, and it is really a fine fit with my K110D.

oh yes of course it is a M42 mount, it does fit snuggly on a Pentax with an M42 adapter, looks as if made for it Wink

I love old lenses, similar to this one... they look funny in combination with modern dSLRs, but using it is a great pleasure!
