Sounds like a rebranded Sigma lens...Sigma made a number of Prakticar lenses, and they certainly had a 55/2.8 YS macro.

Welcome by the way!

You mean CZJ Macro Prakticar 2.8/55? One of my favorite lenses... It's not a Sigma but original CZJ design. Very, very sharp lens, straight from wide-open. I prefer it even to my Pentax-M Macro 4/50. It has in comparison to Pentax slightly lower contrast and slight greenish cast (which is common for all PB lenses I tried), but I think, that it resolves slightly more details.

Yes, I am. Cool

The macro-Prakticar 55/2.8 has slightly less contrast than other Prakticars,
though its IQ is nice and you can use it for portraiture of women too.
I mean its sharpness is NOT kinky sharp like some of Sigma macro lenses,
but sharp enough for macro work. it goes to 1:2.2 (not 1/2 yet unfortunately),
but its optical design might have come from Meyer's Kino-Prasmat design.
So keep it for your life long. Very Happy

hello Koji, really nice to meet you, thank you for your answer. I'm used with MC 3.5/50, specialistic lens and very sharp. In effect I am curious using it also as portrait one.
