coool Very Happy

It will be even better if they do the same adapter for Pentax 110 lenses. Those small pentax lenses do not have aperature at all.

I wonder will it make a difference in terms of picture quality if you put the aperature behing the lens instead of between the lens elements. More internal reflections?

There was another thread a few weeks back about this adapter:
http://forum.mflenses.com/eos-adapter-with-14-blade-iris-t34818.html

I'm going to have to agree with visualopsins:

Technically an aperture, however mounted at rear of lens acts like a baffle or mask of image circle, not the same at all as an aperture in the correct placement to cut off faster perimeter light passing through front element. Does nothing at all to DOF. Depending on camera it may help exposure metering, by limiting diameter of image circle.

Imho, a lot cooler would be if it closed completely light tight and had an adjustable timer for use as shutter.

Waste of money? I think so. Wink

In fact, I have been looking into the Sony NEX communication protocol for quite some time, and getting pretty close to control a Canon lens' aperture with a Sony NEX camera body.

It will be the next exciting offer after the N mount conversion. Smile
