Hmm.... I am not impressed by the picture quality.

Two with Nikon Series E 100mm f/2.8, Nikon to Canon FD adapter, and "Lens Turbo" FD

Need to take more pictures before I can draw any conclusion. Overall I'm happy with the purchase so far. You'll need to remember, it's difficult to see whether any problem is because of the lens, or the Lens Turbo adapter. I just don't like to shoot test chart. I'd say, it's good for certain kind of photography (shallow DoF, portrait), and not some others (landscape).

All in all, though not perfect… I’m delighted at this cheap $200 adaptor and what it has given me as far as field of view and extra light

Not a perfect tool, huh ?
But, an existing tool. +/- FF, usable MF.
So : Is a FF mirroless coming soon ? (please, no red dot brand)
or not ?
Rumors, rumors...
Wink

Just like a tele-converter or diopter, sure not perfect tool, but has their uses. In this case, focal reducer actually gives you more light, and makes DoF narrower, restores the view angle somewhat.

The important thing is to know when to use what tool. What is your perfect tool, hammer or screwdriver?

Not FF and can't mount any MF glass, how is this a replacement for a FF mirrorless?

Everytime I read a list of comments to an article (no matter the subject) on the internet I have the impression that when Linnaeus chose the name "homo sapiens sapiens", he was quite a bit optimistic.

EDIT
In case it was not clear: thanks for posting the article, I am really interested in the possibility of a FF nex, I was just referring to the comments below the article you pointed.

At the time I've posted that no details of forthcoming Leica were known. There was hoping that this would be Leica M without rangefinder with a cheaper price tag. Dpreview itself speculated that. Obviously fixed lens APS-C is a disappointment.

There is an FF Nex E-mount, the NEX-VG900. It's a video camera, yes, but the problem is solved by dedicated adapter for FF SAL lens, when use a APS lens, the video camera takes a cut... yeah!

I do not know if I'm naive, but I think a FF E-mount mirrorless could appear at any moment... if this is so, I foresee Chinese factories smoking and making adapters.

Happy shots!

Typical. The day after I order my lens turbo to try for my birthday, they start to release the new improved version. Seems only nikon version has hit eBay yet. But I imagine the other mounts won't be too far behind. A bit of a bummer I was a day too early, but good to see they are correcting the issues that have been found in the Zhongyi lens turbo.

What will happen if NEX FF + Lens turbo? Medium format class?

Black borders, I suppose, unless you mount a mf lens.

Well I questioned the buyer about the new improved lens turbo and here is the answer I got:
"We have checked with the manufacturer of Lens Turbo. They answer us that was an issue (blue dot and green tint) in the past. And, the current lot of the product is already resolve this issue."

So seems they have all been updated now. Smile
