Picked up a decent copy of the Novoflex Noflexar 35mm f3.4 in M42 recently. I wished I'd seen this good copy sooner, after having bought one with a damaged rear element a few days before, for not that much less money. At least I have plenty of spare parts now if I ever need them.

Some shots with it on my EOS 5DSR. Cropped and resized to make them suitable for sharing here.

Seems like a lovely little 35mm lens, and the quirky macro function is really useful.

May we see a picture of your lens, please?

Thanks. Sure, here it is. The final one is with the 'pull-out' macro feature engaged.

Thank you. What an interesting design! I don't think I've seen a lens like that before.
However it's accomplished, close focusing ability is a delightful feature in any lens.

The lens was made by STAEBLE, a south German lens maker and funny enough incorporates the same optical lens elements as the Staeble LINEOGON 3.5/35m (no wonder as Staeble was a suncontractor to NOVOFLEX) , but lacks the close up focusing ability. As the Noflexar 35mm it also works quite well in reflected UV photography! See here: https://photographyoftheinvisibleworld.blogspot.com/2011/11/uvvisir-staeble-lineogon-f35-35mm-wide.html
