Vvitar Series 1 2.8-3.8/28-105 VMC Macro Focusing Zoom.
This lens will take turns with my Tokina ATX 4/28-85 as a standard lens on my 300D.

And during my holidays it will live in here:

On the paper looks like an excellent all around lens, fast too. What about weight? Filter thread size?
Do you mean you bring that full trunk on holiday trips Shocked ?
I thought I was bringing too much stuff with a medium size and a small one shoulder bags and started to prune towards the bare minimum.

Cheers, M.

That outfit looks terribly ungainly, Carsten, would hate to see you get hurt.
Best to send it to me for evaluation and since the laptop behind it matches
its color scheme, should probably send that along, too. Wink Laughing

Looking forward to your holiday photos! Smile

nice lens!
28-105 sounds great,
even more so on FF..well, I start wondering about an 'old' zoom starting wider than 28mm for my APS-C.
LucisPictor do you know of any good bargain?
I am only aware of the Tamron 24-48, very short on the tele ( have hardly looked into zooms )

the trunk full with equipment is amazing
this is a trolly to be taken with Shocked

It's the 67mm filter thread version. It's not too heavy but heavy enough. Wink
But it's pretty long for a 28-105.

No, no. Not on each holiday trip. Only if I go somewhere and photography is a main part of the free time.
