I just reserved this lens, not that I need it or like very long lenses, but the amount was ridiculous and I could not help myself. Any info on it?

We won't be able to comment until we see the body or the serial as Vivitars were made by many manufacturers Smile

Either manufactured by Komine or Olympus (surprisingly), according to wikipedia:

If it is a Pre-set lens it could be made by almost anyone as the serial number will not tell you that.If it is a TX mount 300 f/5.6 then it was made by Tokina. Could you please either post a photo of it with the serial number showing or post a URL to a photo of it.

I picked it up about an hour ago, here are a few cellphone pics of the lens

It's in perfect condition, but it positively dwarfs the Kx

And here a quick shot while I was coming back home: it was raining and there was little light, and focusing at near distance is not easy with such a long lens. There's some motion blur, but the image stabilization feature probably allowed me to shoot, as this is 1/100 at ISO 1600, jpg straight out of camera with minimal USM after resizing (the image is nothing special, and it needs a slight crop too)

That's a Tokina, the mount is pretty typical and the serial number starts with 37. I have the same one, just differently branded, it is a sweet lens. Nice catch!
