There doesn't seem to have been much activity of late! So here's an image from this month in the North Cascades. The light was exquisite (if you waited out the clouds). Taken with one of my favorites: Zoom-Nikkor 35-200mm f3.5, Nikon D610.

I like it ! Like 1 small Smile

It wouldn't be as fine with a clear blue sky.
It's an "Ansel Adams' school" photography. Congrats !

I wondered how it could render in B&W and gave it a try.
Here it is.
Gaeger, if you disagree, tell me and I remove it.
Wink

Very interesting treatment! I might have to try a black and white version from the original raw.

Gaeger, when I saw your landscape, it made me think about Ansel Adams. So I gave it a try in B&W.

hope I'm not too LATE to enter BUT I have seen 'activity in January 2021' Here is a scan of a 10x8" Print on old Ilford 'Galerie' Glossy D/W Grade 3 ( now gone SOFT ! ) Taken some years ago but printed only January 2021 with my LPL C7700 Pro + 105mm f4.5 El-Rokkor lens and processed in my Home-Made Ilford PQ Universal Formula 1+9. Camera was my Mamiya Press Super 23 + 100mm f3.5 Sekor lens and Kodak TMY film . That 'Lightning Tree' has now ben CUT DOWN by the Park Rangers as it was considered dangerous for kids to climb on.

That's a lovely print, Pete. Like 1

When are you going to give us a treat and print up that shot of the cowboy wrestling with a steer at Calgary?

I just spent a month in the American West, skiing, hiking and exploring. I spent a week near Glacier National Park and though the weather didn't cooperate too often, when it did, gosh the scenes were beautiful. This was shot with a Nikon D780 and a Nikkor 35-200mm f3.5-4.5 AIS from the summit of Big Mountain.

Olympus OM-3, Zuiko 50mm f1.2, Fujichrome 100, August 1992, Eastern Tyrol, Schobergruppe. No B/W tinkering in post: it´s a color slide film, but the landscape provided no color whatsoever.

Unfortunately I'm not sure with what camera / lens combi I shot this picture. It must be about 15 years ago. Most likely an old Canon 350D with an adapted takumar on it. But to be honest, you could make an image like this with any camera. I tried to capture a creepy atmosphere. Location is near Gulpen, Zuid-Limburg, The Netherlands.
