I attempted to see how low of a shutter speed I could successfully hand hold a 105mm macro lens (about 1/3 life size) & 1/60th took the honors. ISO was 250 & aperture was F4

Thanks Patrickh....I'll be 61 here in several more weeks & so far, old man Time has smiled on me...I'm still able to critically focus manual focus lenses & hold the camera fairly steady...Hope it stays that way....

That's good to hear Scott. What camera did you use?
I also like the angle of the flower and the "feeling" of the sun on the rim.

I'm still shooting with a Nikon D70s Mo....Can't afford to upgrade yet...The flower caught my eye when I walked by it. It sits next to a western facing window & I liked the subtle play of light on it.

Upgrading takes time...I got my camera at the right time I could not get it now Smile I think you captured the light perfectly.
I note the N90s in your sig, this camera I looked at for my first slr and I am still keen on it because of the reviews...what do you think of it?Maybe you could do a brief review in another thread? Very Happy Embarassed

Nice shot, Scott. Spot on focus too.

Great work!

When you do upgrade you will see how modern DSLRs handle noise so much better. I wouldn't expect noise to be visible at web res @ 250iso these days.
