Got two of the same lens in the mail, one yesterday, and the one today
had a Nikon mount so I could shoot with it:
These are some quick and dirty test shots, most of the shots are in one
of the rooms I never use, except for storage. I used the onboard flash
with 4 layers of grocery bag tied around it, and most shots were at f8.
Also using CS3 now, including its RAW processing. We had one of those
grey days, no rain, but the light just wasn't inspiring for any outdoor
pics.
I found this link useful:

Speaking of cats, the cat picture on this eBay ad is not bad either (yummm... Biotar 85/1.5)!
Cheers!

Thanks, fellas, I really like this lens! Also like the colors I'm getting, like
one guy stated "magazine colors" --the lens without mount from England
looks brand new!
Abbazz, yes, great cat pic! And the lens is pretty nice, too.

Tanheis, welcome!
You got that lens at a great price! Hope it arrives in good shape.
Here's a few more I took today with the older of two lenses:
This is with using only the onboard flash.

I'm adding one more pic to this thread to illustrate this lens' versatility:
Taken with onboard flash and an external flash over the tank, both
diffused.

Whoa! I was just griping about the 35-80 "misfire" that I had from *Bay, and here's Bill's thread!
Wowza Kapowza! I'm pumped! Beautiful, just beautiful. And you are right, it seems so versatile for such a shallow zoom.
Thank you so much for posting these. I'll be there with one mounted to my Revuenon 3003 "brick" soon! |
