Hi,

my little FD collection is growing.

Found this fine piece of lens in near unused condition this afternoon at my local dealer. And the best was, he made a mistake and sold it to me at a pricelevel for a "normal" FD 80-200. He didn´t saw that it is a "L" lens. I said bravely "Thanky you very much my dear dealer" when I bought it.

So I saved approx. 80-90 % of the regular market price. I´m sure that this lens is my bargain of the month, maybe of the next 6 month Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

A lot of FD users rated this lens as one of the best zoom lens Canon ever made. We will see.

Nice lens, Rolf !

Will you try it on your EOS bodies, or better on your GF1 ?

Thank you Olivier.

I´m not sure at the moment. Will try it today with the G1/GF1.
But at the end of the day I´m thinking about conversation to EF mount.
trifox is checking if this is possible. If yes - I will do this.

I would use this lens with my digital bodies a lot more than with the pana or with my F-1

How are you ? Anything under control ?

Hi,

my FD to Eos adapter (with additional lens and AF confirm chip) arrived this afternoon. Only time for few shots into the bottany. Below a sample approx 50 % crop. 1DsMkIII at 200 ISO.

I think better than expected with this adapter.

Hi Stan,
thank you.

Still waiting for your answer. So I didn´t get a new message from you since last week. I bought the adapter to try it out with my 20 or so FD lenses. Still thinking to convert this lens to EF mount. Waiting for your replay.

regards

Given that you can only choose one lens would you get this one or the Contax C/Y Sonnar 80-200/4?

You really lucked out on this one.

I have heard good things about this lense. Your picture proves it.
