Amazing. Was it deliberate, if not, what caused it?

... well, even if it was deliberate, how did you get it?

I guess I shot in the sun, it was not deliberate but rather a surprise
it is a pity because it show the size of one of the babies of my friends
they are so small and clear color that I never see them, only later on the pc

Nature never fails to surprise! The couple in the bottom photo look happy, anyway. What are they? I've never seen a beetle with antennae halfway down its nose before.

Gorgeous colorful flare poilu! Very Happy

Yesterday Asahi Takumar 3.5/135 @f8 no hood on 5D1 gives me this; rainbow character is quite different (apologies for sensor crud):

Lens is very rare 2m min focus model only manufactured in 1962, second of 3.5/135 Takumar versions.

Weevils of some sort - possibly Lixus angustatus.

How bout something like this?:

Slightly more subtle in this photo, but the suns placement was intentional.

Did a tug-boat story couple a years ago. Paper didn't like this frame - too artistic? Smile

Impressive, Poilu.
Here are some of my flares. Very Happy

with Industar-61 L/Z 2.8/50 Macro :

with Triotar 4/135 :

with AF lens : this one is very special. It was visiting a church during holidays on august the 15th. Looking at it, I can feel a presence.

great collection of flares!

the monochrome flare of the triotar is impressive Olivier, those simple lens have strong APO character, I am sure a Lanthar would not flare so good
the ghost in the lamp is freezing!

How could I have missed this thread?

Has anyone of you ever used a Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim camera with its 23mm plastic lens? That lens can produce very interesting flare!
