#1 shot with a Pentax K20D and a Pentax 50mm a f1.7

#2

Shot with a Pentax K-x and a Tamron Adaptall 70-210 f3.5

The cat moved in between but striked the same pose minutes after I made the first shot. Just a coincidence, I noticed the resemblance between the two shots when I got the images of my memory cards.

Perhaps this is his/hers favorite post? By the way nice twin shots.

First one is sharper Smile that's why I like it more.

Lol, fantastic! He did it so you could compare the 2 lenses! Laughing

The 1st image is sharper but the 2nd has better colour for me.

I noticed the Tamrron Adaptall has warmer colour in other pictures too, it's a nice lens and is a match for primes at shorter focal lenghts. 70-105 (or maybe 135) is razorsharp. This shot was at F4, like most telezooms best sharpness is at F8 or F11.

The Pentax A 50mm does a nice job also at F2.

Both shots at ISO 1600, props for the Pentax K-x to deliver this detail.

I don't have 20-20 vision anymore (old age sniff) but I can tell the first photo's sharper. These old lenses could sure give current generation lenses a run for their money.
