I've been after one of these cameras for months after seeing some
pictures on flickr. They are seldom offered by a US seller and got this
one from a seller in Bangkok:

Camera is about the size of an Olympus XA

The first roll through it was a misadventure with Foma 100, but here are
a few from a second roll, Kodak Ultramax 400, CVS scans:

I bought a 4-pack of this film after seeing some of Jussi's shots with it.

Last shot was testing for flare. We still have that harsh winter light with
glare reflecting off everything and this was probably the worst time of
day, about 3:30pm. Shots aren't gallery-worthy, but hope they display
some of the lens' attributes.

Great results, I like that rainbow/cobweb flare. (reminds me of a dream I had this morning, a huge cobweb that held up a lawn chair I threw out the window?)

the flare looks calmost like fine rain. that's a cute little camera. it'd be a buster for street photos; very unassuming.

as for your dream, jussi, we usually give names to the orb spiders that make such huge, strong webs. but i must ask: what was your dream reason for tossing the lawn chair? Shocked

There's that car again Bill Smile You've had some struggles getting the correct colour on film, this is the best of the bunch by far. Very nice shots, good to see you and Minolta together.

Great results. I've just got a little Olympus P&S. If it's not up to the task I may hunt one of these out.

That film looks good. I don't shoot much colour film but I'll look out for that.

Jussi, Fish, Peter, and Martin, thanks fellas, I highly recommend this cam
if you can find one. I'm waiting on a Ricoh R1E (Russ, Kiron Kid found this
for me) to arrive from Canada and that will complete my collection of
P&S, at least for a while! Laughing

A few more from the Ultramax roll, pretty boring, but was anxious to see
if I had a metering problem in my first BW roll:

and one from the BW that I won't be cleaning up

The lens is killer sharp, need to back off sharpening images that I scan at
home.

Martin, I got the Minolta for $82 plus $17 shipping, but have seen it go
for much more. I'm not averse to buying from Thai sellers at all. The
camera arrived packed in lots of bubble wrap and is in mint shape, even
came with four SR44 batteries for the meter which wasn't part of the
deal.

The Ricoh R1E I'm trading one of my Exakta 500s, which I paid $49.

Nice pics!

I had one of these cameras recently and somebody offered me $75 for it
and I sold it before I had a chance to use it.
