I found this lens over the weekend at a camera show for an unbelievably
low price. I love the bokeh -- it looks like a painting.

These pics are all hand-held.

I have the exact same lens, and I love it. One of the sharpest lenses -- if not the sharpest -- I've ever owned. Here's a shot from mine:

Well-known, and justifiably well-liked macro lens. Hope it was a very good price Very Happy Very Happy

I've just recently bought the same lens and quite pleased with it.

It goes 1:1 or 1:2?
I mean by itself, no tubes.

1:2 by itself, 1:1 with TCs or tubes.

If the Tamron 90 has a fault, focusing down to "only" 1:2 would be it. Although, I've found that it holds resolution so well that I've seldom felt the need for the additional magnification. I have the dedicated 2x and my testing has shown that there is very little, if any, image degradation. A cheap set of manual extension tubes can be bought nowadays for under $10US, so again, it isn't such a big deal.

It's great on DSLRs, but it is one of my go to lenses for B&W film.
