I have some better pictures of the lens this time so hopefully someone will know what mount it is.

Looks like Exakta mount to me.
There isn't much choice anyway. It could be either Exakta 35mm or Pentacon 6/Exakta66 medium format mount.
I think these are the only two bayonet mounts this lens was ever produced with. _________________ Ave atque vale

Must be Exakta, given the locking pin on the flange below the bayonet. P6 is breech-locking with a register pin above the bayonet. _________________ Sevo |

I tried an exakta 66 adapter but it was too big. I have an Exakta EF adapter but it will not fit...I'm going crazy trying to figure out what mount this is _________________ Canon 7D

Can you please elaborate on that? Are the tabs of the bayonet on the lens the same shape and size as those on a regular 24x36 Exakta mount? _________________ "Old Takumars never die; they just fade away"

Strange, looks like Exakta to me. Only other options would be M42 or Praktina, but doesn't look like either of those.
I read somewhere that some were made in Contax RF mount and moutns for Hasselblad...but I know nothing about these mounts. _________________

I think it looks more like the Praktina fitting than anything else ... _________________ Stephen

I have no idea, this is the only lens with this mount I own. I bought an Exakta EF adapter but the lens will not fit in the adapter, the hole in the adapter is too small for the lens bayonet. _________________ Canon 7D

Praktina was breech-lock as well, and looks like a downscaled P6 mount - there is no locking pin on this lens. Besides, the CZJ 80/2.8 for Praktina was a Biometar, not a Tessar. Pic of a Praktina lens rear: Click here to see on Ebay.de
A Topcon adapter might not fit Exakta lenses - Topcon is Exakta derived, but they later added in-mount aperture automation and offset the mount by 120°. Even though all my Exakta lenses fit my Topcon, it might be that later Topcons were more significantly different, and besides, it would not be the first adapter to break legacy compatibility. _________________ Sevo

Is it worth using this lens on my 7D? I mean is it good or should I leave it to the collectors rather than use it? It's been sitting for too long without a job...hehe _________________ Canon 7D

Pentina was a leaf shutter system, with a very peculiar mount and only four or five lenses in a zebra fitting. Scroll down for a close-up of the mount: Click here to see on Ebay.de _________________ Sevo |

Hmm, this could be Exakta Real mount? Looks kinda similar.
Although I don't know if this lens was ever directly available in that mount. Some Schneiders and Schachts were, though...
