I finally found the time to properly test a newly bought pre-war Biotar 75 (practically mint, it came in its original box too).
As I promised to Attila I wished to post here a portrait (even if I also shot some food with it yesterday) and I must say that it works great (at full aperture) even with a not-so-good model (aka "old fag") like myself Very Happy Laughing

Good stuff. The focusing must have been a bit awkward. You look a lot better than I do at that time in the morning ... or the afternoon, come to think of it Laughing

Gotta love pre-war glass! I'd love to see the food samples also.

Pre-war lenses don't "stretch" contrast by themselves. I had a very balanced curve with about 1 stop of room to play with in post-production which is great when you have to mess with portraits, believe me.

And about the food:

What do you complain about? The model looks really good to me, and the lenses obviously deserves its great reputation.
