Jupiter-8 is rangefinder lens. It's designed for completely different register distance. It can be used as a close-up or macro lens on DSLR, but there's no way to use it as standard lens on DSLR camera. _________________ (almost) complete list of Helios lenses

Adapter won't change anything; this lens wasn't designed for DSLR camera, but for view-finder/range-finder cameras. Standard focusing range can be reached on micro-4/3 cameras like Panasonic G1, GH1, GF1 and Olympus E-P1, E-P2 or E-PL1. Also Samsung NX10 could accept it.
But you can always use it as close-up lens. Jupiter-3 a nd Jupiter-8 have nice bokeh _________________ (almost) complete list of Helios lenses
