Olympus Zuiko 300mm F4.5 strip advice

I am looking at stripping and cleaning a Zuiko 300mm F4.5 Telephoto lens - has anyone done one of these...is it a straightforward job, is there anything to watch out for...?

I inadvertantly did one of these when I tried to to tighten up the loose front assembly, and ended up almost completely disassembling it.

The only gotcha was noting where the helicoids attach - for me, it took hours of experimentation to reassemble correctly.

Thanks for the reply robertro - I have since completed this fix as my original post was in February...!

I don't suppose you have any experience with the Zuiko 65-200 zoom...?
