Another snowflake, but this time i used Helios-44-2 and inverted Industar-50-2 as macrolens.
Picture is stacked from 5 frames.

Wow that is certainly beautiful. Great colours.

Do you find much of a difference in stacking? I've heard of it for astro stuff but not daylight.

I have soft for astro stacking too, but for macro pictures i use CombineZ5, this soft stacks images with different focus in one image with grater DOF. Smile

Very well done! (You know that CombineZP is out since quite some time, but Zerene Stacker beats them all? It is still free...)

The newest version indeed has issues if run under VISTA.

Maybe try: http://zerenesystems.com/stacker/
works very well for me.

Nope, the stacking algorithm takes from each image ONLY the sharpest details and stacks ("stitches")
that into one image - you will never see CA then, even with the worst lens ... Wink Wink

Beautiful! I just shot some snowflakes with a reversed 50. I wanted to try my MF lenses, but my reverse ring doesn't fit them. I'm glad to see that it's being done.
