I'll hazard a guess that the bracket is something to do with a twin rail bellows?

Looks like Novoflex and will hold the rails of the slide copier. The ring will connect the lens to the bellows of the slide copier.

49 mm fits most old standard filter threads but to attach what? Smile

First one could do something with a flash?

My Novoflex. A bit altered, with Sigma mount. The rail, you've bought, is underneath the bellows. And I did not use the ring you've got, too, as the sunk mount Tessar would not match it, so I glued that fat black ring onto the slide copier bellows. Due to it's weight, it will stay at it's place.

A ring like that is also used as the "internal ring" for several bayonet mounts. Such an internal ring can be replaced by other models.

Thanks for you thoughts on these...not sure what I will do with them unless I buy the slide copier piece by piece Laughing
