Shot my first pictures with this new arrival and I must say I like it a lot Smile

Nice portait lens. Inside with artificial light and not flash fired. Wide open.

Shot outside. Very sharp picture. In other shots the bokeh was outstanding.

Looks very good - I like the "wirey" out of focus effect in the outdoor shot.

see this > http://oldlenses.blogspot.com/2009/10/kinotel-3-inch-f25-anastigmat-c-mount.html

It seems a "made in japan" lens.

As stated by Koji, these lenses were made in Japan, I think by Ichizuka. I just bought a nice Bell & Howell with a few lenses attached on the turret, including a 3 inches F/2.5 Kinotel, but I haven't received it yet. I will post some samples when I get the lens.

Cheers!

Definitely making me consider going for a 4/3 camera! If you've got the GH1 can you fire a quick video test?

I have the Olympus E-P1 but I think Klaus (kds315*) has a GH1.

If you are interested in the GH1's video performance, check the Luminous Landscape review. It's very detailed and features some nice video samples:

Fabulous samples, Jerry.

I have received my Kinotel 3" F/2.5. It looks just like yours, except it's a bit slimmer. There is a very tiny logo on the aperture ring, opposite to the aperture scale, which reads "Ichizuka." Unfortunately, the focusing ring is stuck on infinity and won't turn the slightest bit despite my best efforts, so I have to find someone to repair it -- not an easy task on Borneo island...

Cheers!

Hi Abbazz, thanks! Curious about some pictures from your Kinotel. Pitty it is stuck, the sharpness when you close down is very good. In the lens I have there is some "space" when turning the focus which I also whould like to have fixed...

My Kinotel does not have that logo but it has a M-C-O-J brand on it.

Good luck!
Jerry
