I don't know if I sell the Makro-Planar or the Distagon..
Both have the same value and I don't know wich one I'd use more. The Makro-Planar could be good to Beauty shots but I can get good results with a cheaper macro lens too...
Distagon is more exotic and it is not easy to get a mint copy like this one...
I really don't know what to do... |
Why would you want to sell a Distagon 1.4/35?
Why would anyone want to sell one, actually? _________________ Ave atque vale

I love Distagon but when I spend so many € in equipment my parents need money to give me food and an house...
So I have to think helping them because for now I have no work and it is not easy...
Just because of that... :S _________________ DSLR: Canon 5D Mark II

Sell the Makro-Planar and keep the D 1.4/35
That's what I would do if I had to choose between them. _________________ Ave atque vale

That's what I'm thinking now but the Makro-Planar has less people interested...
The price would be close to 700€ correct? In this case, one mint copy with leather bag.
I'm trying to keep both because the Makro-Planar would be cool to beauty shots... I hope I get any work soon... _________________ DSLR: Canon 5D Mark II

Had the Distagon for a few days, i have to say that it's the best lens i ever had (in all aspects except portability worth each cent, specialy for indoor available light photography. Decided to send it back to David, most probably the small mark on rear has no fx, but... Now hunting for another one.
Here is a wide open sample, focus between, could have been stopped down a bit

| A G Photography wrote: | Hmmm... don't really know if L lenses are better but I found in my Nikkors that AF doesn't give precise focuse, no matter what I tried. I could experiment with it a lot being my subjects mostly still.
To this add that with moving subject AF usually need to refocus continuosly, you have to switch sometimes focus points, etc, loosing precious time, plus you have all kind of problems in low light, AF lamps included.
I had a lot more of luck using MF, focus in the finder and then continuos shooting while slightly changing the focus on the subject.
This is the method used in the past by fashion photographers that used to shoot rolls and rolls of film for that reason. But since digicards are pretty cheap nowadays it's not a matter of cost but of practicing. |
+1 everything that Alessandro said. _________________ Ave atque vale
