Wonderful shots! I especially like the first and last one. THe last one because of the great colours, the first because of the compo + DOF. Well done!

A fine series.
The last one is perfect: sharp - bokeh - composition - colors
In the right hands all CZJ lenses seem to do very well.

Yes, about CZJ lens, but this was Carl Zeiss Oberkochen lens.

I still have a lot to learn about lenses it appears.
So I shouldn't expect this kind of performance from a Jena Tessar I guess?

I guess you can expect this performance, but Jena lenses have wide range of quality. QC wasn't same tight than in Oberkochen.

If labeled with Carl Zeiss only , no Jena that means made in West Germany or Japan.

You went back in time and took the photos of the dinausors? Smile

By the way what does "35S TM" means? Is this some variance of the normal Carl Zeiss Tessar?

If it`s an Icarex tessar it`s actually not Zeiss but voigtländer Skopar labeled with zeiss name because Zeiss bought the company.Voigtländer manufactured the Icarex lenses in Braunschweig.

This is the best I have seen from you Attila, Bravo. Could you kindly post a picture of the lens? I had a Pantar in Icarex mount that I just sold to someone in Japan, because I felt I could not convert it for my use. Mr. Green

Standard lens was Tessar 2.8/50 mm or (triplet type) original color Panter 2.8/50 mm, but has also been added (Modified double Gaussian) Urutoron 1.8/50 mm later.
