would like to show here from time to time some newer landscapes shot with Canon cams and L-lenses.
Today an image shot last year during a short trip to Iceland.

Are you using the Fujichrome preset on your digital? Laughing

Super composition for the color - you clarify and heighten. Exemplary.

Hi guys,

thanks for your comments.

If you have luck and the weather is fine you will have colours there - unbelievable. The air is so fresh and without of any dust that you will get these results.

Ok, at the end I will add two additional images, where the last one is in my opinion one of my let say 10 best images I every shot.

rolf i love the sunset! was that what you actually saw or did you use a filter? reason i ask is i took something very similar--if you go to my snapixel link in the landscape set and view the 'blazing sunset' series i did in florida, but i used a cokin graduate orange filter and manually focused a sigma 10-20mm lens on my sony a100. yours is one of the nicest ive seen! i would be so interested to know the rig you used for this!

Thank you.

I shot the image with 1DsMkIII and EF 4/300 L at midnight.

During PP I darken a little bit the clouds (only minimal) in the middle to have a more dramatic scene.

You have great pics on your site.

I never use any colour filter. The only ones I own are Pol-filters. Sometimes I tought about ND filters to increase the exposure time but at the moment I reduce for those shots the ISO to 50 (its anyway my standard value) and the aperture to max.

thanks rolf, im glad you enjoyed the site. the fact that you didnt use any filters or pp is amazing--what a great scene. you know, atilla has a submit your best mf photo thread in the digital mf gallery--you should enter this one! i just put up a landscape i did yesterday on that thread, but yours is easily one of the top 3 or 4 on the thread....

Oh, sure. Just go ahead and brag to us that you can afford L lenses. Laughing

Seriously, these are all beautiful shots.
Color saturation is exquisite, and the sunset is jaw-dropping in its beauty.
Shame about the electric pole having to be so close to the church, though.

Hi Craig,

thanks for your comment, but no enviousness please Laughing Laughing

Stunning photos Rolf. I think I've seen that church before thanks to a friend who went to Iceland last year.
