Yep, here's another from the Concours.
This beauty was a tough one to shoot, due to the sun's position relative
to where I was allowed to view from, among other factors.
The Duesenberg models easily take a second- to third-place affinity
in my heart as some of the most beautiful automobiles ever created on this planet.

Model SJ Convertible Victoria
Carte Blanche to Build the Finest Car in the World
The Classic Car Club of America recognizes as Full Classics fine and unusual
motor cars built between 1925 and 1948 that are distinguished by fine design,
high engineering standards and superior workmanship.
In 1900, Iowa bicycle makers August and Fred Duesenberg began playing with
gasoline engines and, in 1906, began to manufacture cars. Their company
failed, but they developed an engine which did well in the Indianapolis 500.
During World War I, they built aircraft engines for the military and after the war
they used this experience to develop their famous straight-eight engine which they
used in a new car. Their company became part of E. L. Cord's empire in 1926.
Cord gave the Duesenberg brothers carte blanche to build the finest car in the
world and the result was the Model J in 1928. It featured a 420 cubic inch
straight 8-cylinder engine producing 265 HP, more than double that of any other
contemporary car. The chassis sold for $8,500 and then the buyer had to spend
another $2,500 to $8,000 for a custom body.
The Model SJ featured a centrifugal supercharger designed by Fred Duesenberg
which boosted output to a claimed 320 HP. This model was introduced in 1932
and a convertible coupe reached 129 mph at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In total, only 36 SJs were built at a chassis price reaching $10,000 in 1935.

Really nice shots, Craig.
At my village (Sitges) we also have all the years an old car rally that goes from Barcelona and ends in the village. Some 100 cars come year after year and it's a very nice colorful show that I like very much to shot pictures.
So I'm enjoying yours a lot, thanks for sharing!

You manage to fool the sun. Great shots. Mind sharing what lens did you use for your cars shots? 20mm or something wider? _________________
