I owned a Rollei 6006 for a short while. The Zeiss Rollei lenses, as
well as the camera itself - superb! However, the cameras are finicky,
and I bore the brunt of two repairs $$$$. I sold the camera reluctantly,
as I just couldn't afford any more repairs.

This was at a beach about a mile north of the other images from
the Pentax 645 and the Yashica Mat.

This is an illustration that you can crop down a 6x6 transparency and
still create a good clear image. That is the beauty of the large
transparency. In this case, I cropped a full 2/3 away from the original
image because those parts were hopelessly overexposed.

The resultant image is still clean, although a little too contrasty, with
the fine grain of Provia 100 enabling a 20x10 print even from this
crop. I probably could have worked with the Shadows/Highlights
tools to bring this image more into line. However, this was at a time
of high sun and very dark shadows to my eye, so I left it alone.

So if you see an image you don't like overall, take a look "inside", you
might just be able to pull an image out of it! Smile

Beautiful results, too bad maintenance on them is like owning a 12 cylinder
Jag.
