Please post here your B&W film images.
They can be:
- direct scans of B&W negatives
- scans of B&W chemical prints (no computer prints)
This gallery is born within the general site purpose of supporting the use of film and film cameras.
We also have another gallery dedicated to slides.
This gallery is dedicated to supporting the B&W film.. And also to support the practice of own developing and printing of B&W film.
For this reason, digital colour-to-greyscale conversions from colour images (of any kind) are not allowed in this gallery.
They can, of course, be published in the Main Gallery or in the Oversized Gallery.
Please specify, for the pictures you post, whether it's a direct scan of negative, or the scan of a print.
It is interesting and also educative for viewers to know the whereabouts of the posted images.
Please keep the digital postprocessing to the minimum required to respect the quality of the original.
Pictures with significant digital postprocessing (such as digital toning to sepia, cyan etc) do not belong to this gallery. This gallery purpose is to show the quality output of the film.
Chemical postprocessing on prints instead is ok.
In order to make searching easier, we invite those who post scans of their own B&W chemical prints, to add the tag [PRINT] before the thread title.
Thank you. _________________ Orio, Administrator
