Got my trioplan, had some early fungus on the lens but cleaned off really easily. Again no luck with eBay purchases :S.

But I have a dumb question for you guys, is there any special purpose to the locking mechanism on the aperture ring?

I am glad it cleaned up nice... the locking mech just sets the upper end of the Fstop like other preset ap lenses. So if you want to only dial between F2.8 and F5 then you lock f5 as the top Fstop.

I hope that is the locking mech you are talking about. Mine is the M42 version.

If that is not clear, I am sure some of the veterans can explain it better than I...

Thank you Gus, that's what I thought, I was thinking that maybe it could have had another purpose too.

Cheers

Congrats, this is on my candidate list (sigh, it asks over US$100 in most bidding site)
