It's rained, a lot, around here. Two weeks ago I spent most of a Sunday walking in the rain - could hardly focus as everything was wet and fogged up. This gear is one of my favorites for walking in the city with, though I do like the TL Electro-X better than the Fuji for the purpose.

Kodak BW400CN, Yashinon DX 35/2.8, Fuji ST605, vintage red Pentax strap Wink

Non-rainy extra, outside the NYC Calumet store:

it's a chromogenic B&W film, isn't it?
I wonder if it could be printed on my enlarger.

Orio, the Kodak has the orange backing, so it may not work so well. Ilford XP2 on the other hand looks like traditional film and should print just fine.

Hi,
as Nesster pointed out the orange mask could be a problem. You might not be able to control the contrast properly. In other words some negatives may print fine and from others you might not achieve satisfactory job. I tried myself and was not completely satisfied. Lab prints (on RA-4 paper) were more or less ok. If you want to go with chromogenic maybe ilford XP2 is a better way as suggested by Nesster (I did not tried it myself). Otherwise I think "real" bw film is far better choice, that way you have lot more room to play.
Marty.

Yet another reminder to try this film, excellent set, Nesster! I think you
have something here for a continuing series: 'Backsides and Bumbershoots, or maybe 'Bums and Bumbershoots' has a better ring
to it. Wink Smile

I think I like "Brollies and Butts" the best! Laughing

Ahhh, that is a superb shot, Nesster! Was this with your Diacord?

I enjoyed these very much. I always feel shy in a public place with a camera, so never do it Embarassed

Thanks again - yes, shyness is an issue, though with a 35mm lens you can sort of point away from them and still catch them. And different days, different moods - some days just seem bolder.

Not the Diacord, though it's coming up in the rotation soon. Would have been its turn except the Rollfilmkamera showed up. And I wouldn't take any really old camera out on a day like that... Shocked the Diacord viewfinder would have held a pint of rain. It's 70s beaters in bad weather.

Fuji 400CN negs are fine, too.
