Contax Mutar I

The Mutar I is a x2 teleconverter for the Contax SLR line of lenses.
I took this sample in difficult condition: almost dark, high ISO, handheld at "speed limit".
The "child lens" is the Distagon 2.8/25mm, used wide open, so with the Mutar it becomes a 50mm f/5.6
As you can see from the sample, the sharpness is so-and-so (but most certainly there is micro hand motion); however the chromatic aberration, usually the plague of teleconverters, it totally absent. The water shows only natural reflections, and the strange colours come from the high ISO.
All in all, I'd say a respectable performance, and by far, the best of all teleconverters that I have tried.

No, Klaus you are supposed to loose two stops by X2 teleconverter normally.
I guess you haven't used TC for a long time as you say. Very Happy
