Ok, so I have a bunch of M42's laying around and I bought a Nikon D50 and an adapter.

Now the problem starts when I try to using the built in flash. It will take pictures just fine in manual mode except when I try to use the built in flash. [r04] or [r09] will flash in the LCD screen.

Does anyone have any experience with this, is there a fix?

Forgive me for asking the obvious, but - have you set the Flash to Manual (as opposed to TTL) ?

No need to blush. I often forget to switch the flash control when switching between lenses.
