Spotted a lens I'm tempted to buy with the Kiev 88TL mount and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how one would be able to adapt it to either M42 or Pentax Kmount.

Kiev 88->M42 adapter available from Russian vendors I saw already.
Kiev 88- P6 ring also available and you can take P6->M42, P6->Nikon etc.

Salyut->P6 adapters are pretty cheap (20-30) so I'd definitely go that route. Then, you get the option of buying a P6->K tilt or shift adapter.

I would also recommend going to P6 and then to m42. Those fairly inexpensive shift and tilt P6 adapters are a lot of fun to experiment with.

Thanks for the information. The lens in question is the Tair 33 and naturally I have to factor in the conversion cost to see whether getting on is worthwhile. Also does anyone know if the optical quality is the same as the Tair 3 that comes with the sniper kits?
