My 5DMII

I have held off from buying the lenses and other things that I want since last summer unless it was a super bargain. I lost the fuel injection system on my bulldozer and its going to cost a lot of money to fix. I haven't had time to work on it yet but have to have it fixed for spring. I couldn't resist with the 5DMII and got one.

So far I just love it.
I noticed my M/F lenses are real easy to use with it. Maybe the bigger brighter view finder. I had a lot of problems focusing with my 40D.
I can get focus confirm about always at f/8. I haven't tried higher yet.
It seems to meter better than the 40D with AV indoors and out using the M/F lenses.
I can adjust the adapters to focus right on the money with the micro-adjustment.

So far all I have taken are snapshots learning the camera and flash.

All shots with the yashica ML 50/1.7
I was checking out the micro-adjust with the focus confirm adapters on Dudleys face, hence the lack of feet.

Dudley trying on his new coat.

After playing hard with Maxwell for an hour.

One of the first shots that I took with the new camera. Just a quick grab really to see what it would do in the back yard. Have I mentioned that I hate snow. Especially 3 feet of it.

Wow, Ron! Congratulations!
The 5D MKII is very close to what I would call a perfect camera!
I am happy with you! Very Happy

Thanks. I can't believe this camera. You hardly have to touch the files right out of the camera.

What a cuddly Dudley! And you hate snow living in Maine? Hope you get the bulldozer running int itme - but the MkII looks well worth the time money and effort. Great pics

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

I am still in awe with this camera. I am absolutely amazed how easy it is to use the M/F lenses with it.

I have to try some aquarium pictures with it.

Congrats again Ron for both of your new additions.
I hope the new little Dudley will not distract you from making some excellent fish shots.
They are always most impressive!

Thanks Andy. I am anxious to try some aquarium pictures right off.

Its going to take some getting used to full frame though, after 1.6 crop for so many years. I keep getting surprised by the field of view.

Thanks Francko. Wasn't it you that also got one? I was wondering if you also found it much easier with the M/F lenses?

Congrats, Schnauzer.

The colour from those shots seems much more saturation than 5D I,
did you ever have a chance to compare them(5D mk I and II)?

Thanks Koji.

I have never compared since I'm going from a 40D to the 5DMII.

I have noticed that shots from this lense always seem more saturated than say Zeiss colors. Not a bad thing just different. Do you find the same?

Yes, it's much easier probably thanks the full frame Smile

I Found the Flektogon 35mm f/2.4 a must have on a FF Laughing
