A Great Place for Repair Work

I recently sold a 55mm Auto Takumar and didn't notice some stiffness in the Auto Manual Button and the buyer complained..I would have too! I reimbursed him not only for the purchase price but for the original and the return shipping cost. Only decent thing to do. On receiving the returned lens I noticed too that the Iris actuator pin was sticking as well. I know..These should be easy fixes but for me and my failing eye sight it is not easy any more. So I sent it off for repair to a recommended repair shop just out side of Atlanta. V-Photo of Atlanta is the name. Same day service and excellent work at a very reasonable cost. Now my Auto Takumar is CLA'd and ready to sell. Will I charge more for it now? Probably not.

If you need Camera or Lens repair..Give these folks a try. I did and am very glad I did.

Including return shipping it was $47.00 US.
Standard lens cost is 20 dollars plus parts
Telephoto lens is 34 dollars plus parts
Zooms are 48 dollars plus parts

No motorcycle yet but I have enough right now for one that I want ..if I don't mind higher mileage. I've sold about 1/3 of my lens so far and have some for sale right now on Ebay.

Glad to see things are working out and you are getting closer to buying the bike.. Very Happy
A good idea to post up repair people that are reliable and at a good price.

Thanks Mo. I've re-posted the 55mm f/1.8 Auto Takumar here. Actually for less than half of the repair bill.

Hi,

A tip of the cap to you, BD, for graciously sharing this recommendation.

I just had a fungused lens cleaned by the V-Photo folks. Extremely nice work - and startlingly fast turnaround. I had the lens back, it seemed, just a couple of days after I mailed my check. Very fair prices, too. I foresee that I'll be a repeat customer.

Thank you!

Jon

Perhaps my memory is failing me, BD -- it frequently does, seems like nowadays. So anyway, I'm curious -- what kind of bike are you gonna get?

I'm gonna give those repair folks a call right now. I have a couple lenses that need some attention. Oh well, no answer. I guess they bailed a bit before 5pm.
