Here are some shots taken during the recent weather that most of the UK has been "experiencing". Taken with a variety of films in my Mamiya 6 and Rolleiflex 3.5F.

These photos are from Hertfordshire where we had a blizzard, followed by torrential rain, that turned into a flood, that froze solid. The result... several days off work!

Spectacular!

Can I ask why there is considerable vignetting on the first 2 photos? A style choice? If so I like it!

The best, for me, is the #2, the horse. It's magic and disquieting (I hope I used the word "disqueting" in the right way).
Then the #5, then #4.

I really love the second to last B&W image.
But also #1 and #2 are great.
Excellent work overall.

The vignetting is a result of the Mamiya G 50mm f/4 L's hood, it's large and does cause substantial vignetting wide-open. However I like the effect so I often leave it on.

I am actually from Hertfordshire, five miles outside London to be exact. Unfortunately it seems even people from Hertfordshire have a tough time pointing the county out on a map such is it's ambiguity, so I just say London instead. Razz

The girls' section of my old school used to be in Hertford - so I learnt where it was very early on! I'm a real Londoner from Battersea (when it was an undesirable slum) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Love the B&W - Medium format, yummy - great contrast, and sharpness with so much detail...

Yes. My taste runs to the B&Ws also. Perfect exposures in the B&W!!

Did you overexposed then had it pulled or expose normally?

Thanks

Jules

Very nice series. I enjoy looking at film pictures by people that do it much better than I do.

I overexposed them, so to speak, and then had the film pulled. Although having said that, I also overexposed to compensate for the snow with varying degrees (from 1/2 stop to 2 stops).

In retrospect I probably should have used my roll of Ilford Pan F. Razz
