I stumbled across a local ad for an extremely cheap Leitz Elmar 5cm f3.5, but I know nothing about this lens and since it looks quite similar to the an industar, I guess some fakes exist.
I am pretty confident about the good faith of the seller, but I don't really need another industar, so it would be nice is somebody could help me identify it.

It look real to me(the wording, the serial no and the aperture button etc.)

This page might help.

Doesn't have any features I recognise from my Industars so I'd say real.

Thanks guys,
so it looks like I'm going to buy my first Leitz lens.
Any idea about the age of this? The serial number lists I found suggest this should be from 1939-1940, is that correct?

I removed the pic as I decided to buy the lens, and i didn't ask the owner of the pic permission to post it here.
However, serial number is 51xxxx.
Thanks again.

51xxxx does fit into 1939:
