Hi everyone

I loved the bokeh of my (now sold) Nikon 105mm DC (it's an AF lens though):

My Minolta Rokkor 58mm 1.2 from 1968 (f/2):

And check out the new SLRMagic 35mm 0.95 Hyperprime:

A modern MF lens for cropped sensor cameras.

Not great samples but if we`re talking smooth, this chap has it in spades....

All with the SMC Takumar 100mm f4 macro, wide open.

For me, the two best "Bokeh" lenses in Nikon F mount are the Vivitar Series 1 90mm 2.5 Macro (Bokina made by Tokina)
and the Nikkor 80-200mm 2.8 AIS ED http://forum.mflenses.com/nikon-history-the-nikkor-80-200mm-2-8-ais-ed-t55661.html.

Both simply awesome with crisp images even wide open - a great combination.

I thought I'd look through my stuff on Flickr for a picture taken with my Rokkor 50 / 1.4, I love that lens and it has great bokeh. But as I looked through and thought "oohh, that looks nice bokeh" there was a recurring theme, and it wasn't the Rokkor. The surprise was the Vivitar 28 / 2.8 Close Focus ( Komine )

I haven't used this lens for a little while, I really should. It's a terrific lens.

Sorry, no sample photo handy, but I have always enjoyed the lovely bokeh from my SMC Pentax K 85mm F1.8 "portrait" lens.
It's damn sharp too.

That was taken with a Super Takumar 135mm F3.5(M42)manual focus lens.
Do you like those?

Hello, I have been reading here for a while and learning from all of you. Here are a couple from a Super Takumar 135/3.5 I've been trying out:

I modified a Sigma YS 135mm f/2.8 lens for better bokeh. I can now adjust the spherical abberation of the lens (and probably other abberations) like with the Nikkor DC 105 and 135 lenses with their Defocus Control.

I must admit I like often the possibility to enhance the background bokeh structure:
