Smile thanks, those pics are from may deck ...lucky me Wink , outskirts of Sydney, going north.
One more specially for you, (well maybe two) not ideal aperture for good bokeh but I like them.
Spider web, can you see-it? Tamron SP 01A 35-80mm

Great images..

Here are my favourits..

Porst 1.2/55mm Bokeh

Makro Elmarit 2.8/60mm..

Makro Elmarit 2.8/60mm

i like the "swirly" Bokeh of the Porst and the Elmarit shown in pic 1 + 2..

Here a shot with the Leica Summilux 1.4/50mm, version with build in Hood.

And a crop out of this..

The Summilux Bokeh is also very swirly and the highlights in
some of my pictures shows the "Cats Eye-Bokeh-Effect"..
Thats why Leica not advise to use the Summilux in close ups..
But i like this kind of "effect" for some shots..

I'm one of person which have poisioned with manual lens..and this is the result of that poison...Soligor MD 37-105mm ...need feedback from all of yours..regards,

I like both of those Soligor shots, very nice work.

I like the typical Meyer bokeh as you get with the Trioplan, Primotar, Oreston etc.

This is with a Pentacon Auto 1.8/50 which is a rebadged Oreston:

The Meyer Görlitz Diaplan 100 projection lens seems to be a copy of the Meyer Trioplan. And the Pentacon 100/2.8 AV projection lens too. But some simple DIY involved: http://www.4photos.de/test/Meyer-Goerlitz-Trioplan-100mm-2.8.html

Here a picture made with the Helios 44-4 58mm f/2.0. The lens is not known for smooth bokeh - but one could alter the bokeh of this lens - and other lenses - with a simple slide film near the iris.
The slide film is exposed with something like a Gaussian formed ND filter:

I know that boke' is a highly subjective matter, but that I think that is the most distracting and jarring OOF I've ever seen from a lens. Shocked It's almost impossible to look at what is in focus.

As for my own favorites I prefer the smoother rendering lenses.

The Yashinon 2/50 is one of my favorites for smooth and soft boke'

It's nearly perfect IMO.

The Meyer Oreston is also pretty nice, a pretty good example of a lens that would be helped by more aperture blades though.

The OOF rendering is distinctive but not necessarily distracting.

The Soligor 2.8/105 preset is another lens with beautifully smooth OOF rendering.

Probably my favorite on the strength of boke' alone is the Miranda 2.8/50 preset:

It is pretty smooth, but the combination of very slight bright lining and an 8 leave diaphragm gives the OOF areas just enough sparkle to be interesting in their own right, but without distracting from the focal point of the photographs.

I had to look again at the photo the 3d effect was very striking especially with the small twig in the foreground. Amazing. then I saw your comment about being the best 3d lens.

Used wide open I suppose, what would the effect be like at f5.6?

Carl Zeiss Planar 35/2 - Contax G
Most people hate the bokeh - I like it especially for close-ups!
I don't have such stunning samples thought ^^

Hi everyone

I loved the bokeh of my (now sold) Nikon 105mm DC (it's an AF lens though):

My Minolta Rokkor 58mm 1.2 from 1968 (f/2):

And check out the new SLRMagic 35mm 0.95 Hyperprime:
