M8 has Kodak's CCD censor, so it has a nice colour blue.

Nice ones! The last really shows the Leica has a good sensor and proccesor for my taste.
Blues like this are very important for me.
I get tired of people online who say bad things about the M8.
Most of what I see from that camera is superb. It is a standout. Magenta cast problem is overplayed.
It gives a film-ish look
Here is one from today to show how sharp and 3d this lens is.
Taken with RD1 I think f2.8 take a look at bigger imageshack to see real effect of this lens. After sunset so the best light was gone.
It is a stellar lens. Thanks again Koji for your assistance with the conversion:D

Another just at sunset.
Sharp lenses have sometime busy Bokeh

Here is the sky at sunset and then about 10-15 minutes after sunset.
This crazy red "spike" appeared and disappeared 2 times before going away for good.
These two after sunset are spaced about 2 minutes apart.
I don't have much meteorology/weather studies. The explanation for this event is not something I can get into.
The photos as dramatic as they are do not begin to explain how strange this was to see.

Wow nice stots, Andy.

Yes, "sharp lens has sometime busy bokeh."
But I like this lens' bokeh, this is my personal reason that
this lens' bokeh keeps the original shapes however distorted. Some say
that creamy bokeh is good, but it is not always for me.

In musical or mainly Jazz, it is more like Bill Evan's melody line which
keeps coming very subtle way if you are a jazz(Bill Evans) fan you know
what I am trying to say. That is my kind of bokeh.

Back to your shots, I saw those flash from the sun at the horizon in
some astronomical / meteorological book which I do not remember now.
The second of these shots are pretty good regardless it is rare phenomenae.

I don't usually take pics of the sunset as it happens everyday and I think sometimes it is boring.
This strange anomaly was quite interest though

I agree also Koji about the bokeh and I like your Bill Evans Comparison.
