Astronar lens? Anybody please help me.

Hi everybody,

I've just bought Astronar 90-205mm f6.3 from ebay and test some pics. The bokeh stunt me for a while. I like it. Laughing Laughing

So could I ask some questions that who know the lens.

A picture would be useful.

My first guess would be that its a merchants brand of the first model Tamron zoom lens -

Astranar was a distributors brand of the 1950's-1960's, they sold some Japanese makes and also some by Piesker (Germany). Tamron used to be sold sometimes through distributors in those days, as a Soligor, Taika, Aetna, Hanimex, Vernon, etc., so why not Astranar.
