I was out shooting this morning and lost the front element of the VF and now
it is just a blur looking though it.

Attila, be a pal and pry out the one on yours and send it to me, OK? Laughing

Emailed certo6 to see if he has anything I can use.

Bill

Since you're not everybody Bill I'll let you have an old Distagon 21 that I've got lying around and you can butcher that.

It's never worked right since I got it as every time I put it on the camera, everything looks so far away.... Laughing

Seriously though, I hope you get your Bessie fixed. Smile

Bob, I think I can cobble something together if you send the Distagon, thanks! Laughing

Damn it! I hope Jurgen able to help you with this part. You can use an external rangefinder too I guess.

No hassle Bill, I'll send you the C/Y adapter and my old 5D too as since the 5D MkII is out, the original 5D is now officially crap.... Laughing

Attila, coupled rangefinder still works fine, it's the viewfinder on the far
right that is useless right now. I guess the rangefinder sights in on the
center portion of the image, so will be somewhat OK, there, but this will
definitely be a problem framing a shot for good comp.

Bob, I'm simply overwhelmed, thank you so much! Laughing

Hummm, since Jurgen failed to make sure the viewfinder element was
secure, I should get a full refund for the recent CLA. Yeah, that's reality... Laughing

Sorry to hear about this Bill - annoying isn't it? I managed to let a correction lens slip off the viewfinder into long grass and that was that.

Does Jurgen have any spares?

Peter, just heard form Jurgen and yes, he has spares for the Bessa RF. One
other "little" grief I have is while shooting some Provia F 100, the little knob
that turns the covers over the red windows on the back fell off. I didn't
think a thing about since the mounting plate allowed me to turn the covers.
Well, I shot the Provia, then a roll of Reala took them over to Walmart for
processing, and just found out tonight when (almost) loading another roll
that the hole in the middle of the mounting plate goes all the way through!
Isn't that wonderful? It means I'll be paying for a couple of rolls of light-
streaked garbage in a week or so. And I was hoping for some very good
shots on those rolls, too, oh well. Thank God I still have my health. LOL

Geez, I just realized this thread is in the wrong section. Embarassed
