I was just reading about a line of M42 mount lenses Olympus produced in 1971 - 1972 for their FTL camera body (https://www.biofos.com/cornucop/ftl.html). I suspect these lenses are "somewhat uncommon".

The same article says that Olympus set up some kind of system on the M42 mount which allowed metering info to be transferred between camera and lens.

My question is this: Does this (custom Olympus) metering connection between the FTL camera and M42 lens mean that these lenses cannot easily be used with standard M42 adapters?

Regards, C.

Yes. The aperture coupling tab need to be filed down filed/removed if you use a M42 to EF adapter.

Same like Fuji m42 lenses?
Isn't there an adapter that has a groove right there?

Never try this. Anyone with the Lens and adapter can confirm?
