Looking good, but AAMOI do you and all the members think that on a digital camera you get better\worse results using medium format film lenses compared to 35mm film lenses OR the results are just different Question

Yes the results are similar to very good 35mm lenses as far as my own experience anyway.
The big advantage of using medium format lenses is their relative cheapness for fast glass.
And they are consistently good wide open.
Pentax 67 lenses include 2.8/150 2.8/165 which are still quite cheap

Exposure seems to be a bit off. I personally like the images from the Tak 75mm better, keep them coming! Smile

Thanks Mark.
I am one who does not like exposure to end up as an average 18% grey for the image.
I use spot metering when taking pictures and will fine tune the exposure to taste before posting the images.
None of these images were straight from the camera so to speak.
Having said that, I don't adjust anything else before posting ( occasionally I will add a vignette )
So it is unlikely that the lens is to blame for what you see - just my quirky way of looking at exposure.

Just as an aside, it is extremely rare in my experience, for any old MF lens to perform flawlessly - exposure wise - on a DSLR without some form of exposure compensation - either in camera or PP.
I appreciate your kind words
Mucho gratias

Yes, I also have difficult times with metering properly especially when the MF lens is stopped down. My 5D seems to have a bigger and bigger exposure error, when stopping down the lens. Pretty bad, if I have to hurry. Sad

However a slight underexposure makes the colors more vibrant, so I also tend to do it intentionally sometimes. Looking forward for another medium format lens test!

I'm unfamiliar with the Pentax you use but what is the 'apparent' focal length of these lenses on APS-C sensors?

The Pentax K-10D is an oldie by today's standards and has a CCD sensor of 10.2 mp
It's stated crop factor is 1.5 - so the "apparent" focal length for 150mm will be 225mm
With continued use of any camera/lens combination one tends to forget the math and just reach for that lens when the image in one's head suits it.
Alternatively - grab a lens and then get your head to work with what you have, which is what I seem to do the most.
The next step is to communicate this to your feet which have to do the moving to or fro to accomplish what the mind wants in the viewfinder.
